Board your flight to Tefé, a remote Amazonian town that serves as the gateway to untouched jungle landscapes.

The one-hour flight offers a unique perspective of the Amazon basin, where you’ll start to grasp the scale and beauty of this untouched wilderness.

🛬 9:00 a.m.

Upon arrival in Tefé, you’ll have three hours to settle in, unpack, and prepare for the journey ahead.

This is your chance to take in the atmosphere of this Amazonian town, where the daily lives of the locals are closely tied to the rhythms of the river.

🍽️ Noon

Head to the bustling Tefé market, where the vibrant colors, exotic fruits, and fresh fish bring this Amazonian town to life.

Enjoy a delicious local meal, tasting the unique flavors of Amazonian cuisine.

🚤 Afternoon Adventure

After lunch, we set off on our first river expedition, taking a short but thrilling boat ride to Missão, a riverside community where indigenous culture runs deep.

Here, you’ll be introduced to the fascinating history and traditions of these Amazon’s native people. 

🌅 Evening

As we return to Tefé, you’ll enjoy a serene birdwatching experience along the riverbanks.

The Amazon is home to some of the most stunning bird species in the world, and as the sun sets, you’ll get to witness them in their natural habitat.

🍽️ Dinner will be served in town, before a restful overnight stay in Tefé.

6:00 a.m.: Your expedition deeper into the Amazon begins 🚤

We board a speedboat for a thrilling six-hour journey through the winding jungle waterways to reach the remote town of Maraã.

🌞 Noon

Upon arrival in Maraã, we’ll have a chance to stretch our legs, explore the town, and enjoy a satisfying lunch.

This is one of the last urban settlements before we truly disappear into the depths of the jungle. 

1:00 p.m.: Entering the Heart of the Amazon 🏹

From Maraã, we board a large covered speedboat (as well as smaller canoes for a more intimate ride) and begin the five-hour journey upriver to Lago Parica.

This is where the jungle truly comes alive—you’ll see untouched rainforest, hear the distant calls of howler monkeys, and spot vibrant birds gliding over the water.

🐠 Fishing Break

Along the way, we stop at prime fishing spots to catch fresh fish for lunch.

Here, you’ll learn the native technique of fishing with traditional methods, just as the indigenous people have done for generations. 

🌅 Evening

As the sun begins to set, we reach Aldeio Patawa, home of the Patawa tribe, a native group living in the Lake Parica region.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed into the community, where the locals will share insights into their daily lives.

You’ll walk through the village, meet the families, and get a rare first-hand look at their homes, traditions, and way of life.  

🛖 Authentic Experience

As the evening progresses, you’ll share a traditional dinner with the Patawa villagers, eating the same meals they prepare for their families.

Expect freshly caught fish, jungle-grown vegetables, and Amazonian fruits bursting with flavor.

7:00 a.m.: Wake up to the sounds of the jungle 🐒

Breakfast is prepared in the village, giving you another taste of authentic Amazonian flavors.

🌞 Morning Immersion

Spend the first half of the day getting to know the Patawa people.

Your guides will facilitate conversations, allowing you to ask questions about their daily routines, hunting techniques, and survival strategies.

You’ll discover how they build their homes, prepare their food, and pass down ancient knowledge through generations.

🎣 Fishing Like a Local

Midday, we head to the river to catch fish for both lunch and dinner, using traditional net-fishing techniques that have been perfected over centuries.

Every fish in the Amazon has a distinct flavor and texture, and you’ll get to discover your own favorite!

🍽️ Dinner Around the Fire

As the day winds down, we gather around a campfire with the villagers and guides, listening to fascinating stories of jungle life—tales of legendary creatures, survival against predators, and the secrets of the rainforest.

🌙 Night Excursion

After dinner, we set off into the jungle for an unforgettable black caiman spotting adventure.

🐊 Equipped with flashlights, you’ll scan the water for the red glowing eyes of these prehistoric predators. Learn how to identify their behaviors, track their movements, and witness their silent yet powerful presence.

🚣 Morning Journey to Lake Parica

We board a canoe and travel even deeper into the jungle, venturing to the home of a local named José and his wife.

José has lived in the jungle his entire life and knows its secrets better than anyone.

We’ll share a meal with José and his wife, we get to listening to their incredible experiences of life in the wilderness, and tour their plantations.

🚣 Afternoon

Canoeing & Piranha Fishing – We paddle five hours further into the Amazon, traveling into the heart of the jungle.

Along the way, we’ll fish for piranhas, experiencing first-hand the excitement of catching these sharp-toothed Amazonian fish.

🏕️ Nightfall

As darkness falls, we prepare for our first night of jungle camping.

Your guides will teach you how to set up a secure camp, light a fire without matches, and identify plants and insects that are crucial for survival.

Enjoy a simple but energizing meal, prepared over an open fire. Everything you eat here is either caught, harvested, or sourced locally, making every bite an authentic Amazonian experience.

This is where your true survival training starts.

With the guidance of experienced jungle experts, you will:

📖 Learn to identify medicinal plants—some cure illnesses, others are used for poisons.

🔎 Spot and track animals—see signs of jaguars, tapirs, and other elusive creatures.

🧭 Navigate dense jungle terrain—use natural indicators like the sun and tree formations.

🍍 Find and collect edible jungle fruits & nuts—the rainforest is full of surprises!

Rest & Recharge at the Camp.

After hours of trekking through untouched rainforest, we return to camp for a well-earned break.

🌙 Night Excursion

Hunting & Canoeing – As the sun sets, we set out for a nighttime adventure.

We’ll hunt using local techniques, canoe through the river under the moonlight, and experience the jungle at its most alive.

Enjoy a peaceful meal while watching the morning mist rise over the jungle.

Today, we embark on a journey back toward civilization, but not before another day of adventure.

As we paddle through the river, keep your eyes peeled for giant otters, pink dolphins, and tropical birds.

You never know what incredible wildlife might appear!

🍽️ Lunch with José & His Wife

Arriving back at José’s remote jungle home, we share another meal with this fascinating Amazonian couple.

Take the opportunity to ask more questions about their self-sufficient lifestyle, and hear stories of survival, encounters with jaguars, and the changing rainforest.

🥾 Jungle Trek Through a New Ecosystem.

This trek is completely different from the deep jungle hikes you’ve done before.

Your guides will again point out the various trees, plants, and animals that the indigenous people rely on to thrive, and they will be able to answer any questions you might have about the local flora and fauna.

🌙 Night Expedition

Searching for Snakes & Night Creatures.

After dinner, we take our final night trek—this time, focused on tracking and identifying snakes!

Learn from the experts how to:

🔎 Spot tree-dwelling and ground snakes—some are venomous, others are harmless.

💡 Understand snake behavior—how they hunt, hide, and defend themselves.

👀 See the Amazon’s most elusive creatures—from tree frogs to night monkeys!

It’s time to prepare for the final stage of your Amazon journey.

As we say goodbye to José and his wife, you’ll reflect on everything you’ve learned about survival, indigenous culture, and the secrets of the rainforest.

🚤 Boat Trip Back to Maraã

Enjoy one last ride through the Amazon’s winding waterways, where you’ll get final glimpses of jungle wildlifebefore re-entering civilization.

🍽️ Breakfast in Maraã & Time to Say Goodbye

We take time to enjoy one last meal in the village and say farewell to the community before embarking on the long journey back to Manaus.

This is your chance to experience the Amazon the way the locals do.

The slow boat journey allows you to:

•  Watch life on the riverbanks—villages, fishermen, and floating homes. 🚣🏠

•  Reflect on your adventure as the jungle slowly fades into the horizon.
